Updated: Clash of the C̶a̶n̶v̶a̶s̶s̶e̶r̶s̶ Phoners

UPDATE Out of an abundance of caution, we are moving our Clash of the Canvassers to be an online event. We will convene on Zoom, an online meeting platform, at 6pm for a short training , and then get on the phone to contact previous Together Victoria members as well as supporters from the 2018 election.

We will post the details on how to access the Zoom meeting later this afternoon. If you are new to using Zoom, you can go here https://zoom.us/test to practice joining a meeting.

**Important Note**: There will still be prizes!
___________

Join Stefanie and Together Victoria for a friendly evening of competition and fun! Everyone will be put into pairs to go doorknocking. Prizes will be go to the team with

-the most supporters identified
-the team with the most team spirit
-the team with the best story of the night!

After our fun night of canvassing (doorknocking) we will all meet at at 5th Street Bar and Grill for food, drinks and to award prizes!

We encourage each of you to invite a new volunteer (someone who hasn't canvassed with us before) to join your team.

If you have never doorknocked or canvassed before we will pair you up with someone experienced and give you a lesson on how to do it! No worries we have you covered :)

Hope to see you out!

Accessibility

Caffe Fantastico

-the top level of the cafe is accessible without stairs; there is no automatic door opener on the front door

-There is an all-gender, wheelchair accessible washroom

Canvassing
-Doorknocking involves walking around a neighbourhood and going to peoples' doors. As a result, a wide variety of gates, stairs, and walkways need to be navigated. All canvassers are encouraged to skip any homes where the access doesn't feel accessible or safe.

5th St Bar & Grill
-5th St Bar & Grill is wheelchair accessible, with a wheelchair accessible washroom and wide aisles. They've let us know sometimes people with mobility aids prefer to enter the backdoor and they are happy to accommodate if that is anyone's preference.
-There is an all-gender, wheelchair accessible washroom
